Wanting To Become An Ultrasound Technician
In my family, I am the youngest of three girls. My sisters, Eileen and Pat are fond of teasing me and my childish actions. Actually, I am not as childish as you think, but, the fact that I am the youngest gives them the idea that I am the little girl in the family. I am not particularly the favorite, but since I’m the youngest, I usually get what I want. Both my parents are still working in a government agency. Eileen is a sonographer at nearby hospital. She actually took up the program of sonography, when she was able to find the right school. After high school, she spent almost her entire summer, just to look among sonography schools in town. There was none actually, so she had to work and save more money to visit neighboring towns to look for schools. She eventually found one and graduated with honors.
Pat works as a secretary in one of the known law firms in Atlanta; so, we don’t get to see her more often. Next year, I will be going to college and I was actually planning of getting the course that is related to sonography. I am sure that when I get a job, it will be on the laboratory, operating various medical equipments. I wanted to become an ultrasonographer. Good thing, one of our town hospitals built up training centers or an ultrasound technician schools around the city for those students who wanted the program. Regardless of my parent’s desire for me to become a architect and eventually design buildings that would make my name known in whole world, still, they seem to be supportive with my plan.
